Applying to MPhil in Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence from NUS

I am a first-year computing student at the National University of Singapore, currently pursuing the AI track. I intend to graduate early in 3 years (the programme itself is 4 years long) and apply for MPhil in Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence at Cambridge. I have a foundation in machine learning and previously spent a few years diving into web development (likely irrelevant, but to provide contextual information). Here, they only really touch on ML in the third year, so I am currently self-studying to advance my knowledge in ML, which is by far the most entertaining thing I am doing here. It wasn't until recently that I was captivated by ongoing discussions around me about double major programmes offered at NUS. For a while, I was inclined to take mathematics (note that this is not a double degree programme), but now, I keep coming back to the tradeoff between having this cherry on top of my diploma and actually making progress in ML. It is beyond all doubt that taking this second track in parallel will be time-consuming, and so I would like some advice on whether this double major thing is a wise investment.
