spanish wasn’t really ever my strongest and i was predicted an 8 for a longggg time and i felt SO hopeless…
for reading and writing, i think that as soon as youve covered all the modules, attempt past papers. flashcards work for a lot of people but they need really worked for me, i’m more of a ‘in-practice’ person. if you HAVENT finished all the modules (which i don’t think you would’ve at this early stage), do the activities in the textbook for in context practice.
for writing, use your speaking questions and do TONSSS of translations (you could use edexcel ones if you run out).
for speaking, LEARN YOUR QUESTIONSSS LIKE THE BACK OF YOUR HAND x ik a ton of people who just went into the exam HOPING the teacher wouldn’t ask the questions they hadn’t learnt and that’s prettyyyy risky. for roleplay and photocard, a thing i did was give chatgpt the teacher report (with the questions etc.) and do the speaking mode so it was like we were having a conversation, then i’d ask for feedback at the end
just remember that languages are veryyy difficult and you should be proud no matter how you’re doing xx

my grades are :
edexcel maths higher - 6 ( paper one was hell )
eduqas english language - 8
eduqas english literature - 6 ( been on a six since year 9 and it's annoying i really need to improve )
aqa biology - 6 ( apparently i skipped two pages in my papers that i wasn't aware of in addition to the fact that i didn't finish the paper lol )
aqa chemistry - 7 ( happy with this but still didn't finish the paper )
aqa physics - 6 ( i was fine with thus bcos i came out of that exam crying thinking i f****d up )
edexcel b geography - 6 ( was only able to complete one 8 marker across paper 1 & 2 help )
eduqas drama - 7
aqa spanish higher - 5 ( i survived the relegation and i'm still in higher for now )

overall i think these are pretty decent , if i can work on my time management skills, i feel like my grades would improve drastically.

btw picking BOTH history and geography is wildddd 😓 my friends who chose history always complain about how much work it is compared to geography ( idk why i'm judging i was also gonna pick history and geography before i settled for drama bcos i didn't want to be overwhelmed with work ) .

i need help bcos i'm aiming for all 9s and it's NOT looking good 😓

Eng lit - I did aqa (R&J, Jane Eyre, AIC and power&conflict poetry). I’d say only learn quotes you can analyse (and maybe try pre-learn some analysis with them). I think I had about 85 for R&J - I know that sounds like a lot but there’s more characters, 50 for Jane Eyre and then 50 for AIC? For poetry I studied 5 poems really well so I could compare them to anything
Pre-learning analysis is what really helped me with English lit as I could never come up with anything interesting on the spot, you can even ask ChatGPT for ideas!
Spanish - I took French & Latin so not quite the same but probably similar. I’d really recommend working on speaking - write astounding answers for all the questions you’re given BEFORE MARCH or you won’t have time to learn them. please trust me on that I was still writing them Easter half term and it was really stressful 😥 you can also reuse bits of work for your writing, and it’s great if you do well on speaking because then you have less to worry about for the other papers
For reading and listening, I’d say just do as much practice as possible, it gets easier
Hope this helps!
