Which A-levels for oxford law?

I'm aiming to read law at oxford
currently im taking bio, chem, religious studies and psychology
my school requires us to drop 1
the only subject i'm sure about keeping is RS
bio and chem are good "strong" subjects but time consuming and not related to the field
I like bio a lot but i know it's very content heavy and chemistry is more useful because its "analytical"
psychology is an essay subject but considered more "soft" than the sciences

You should definitely keep RS as it's a good strong essay subject and you enjoy it. I definitely wouldn't say psychology is a soft subject and its essay nature plus the sciencey stuff you enjoy will be super useful. In my opinion you should probably drop one of chemistry of biology, probably the one you enjoy the least and are worse at. If I had to pick one, I'd drop chemistry as biology seems more cohesive with psych and religious studies.

Good luck!

There are no required subjects for Law at Oxford - the only note about subject choice on the course page is "An essay subject can be helpful when completing this course but is not required for admission."

There are no secrets here - all Unis have to be entirely upfront and honest about their entry requirements, so Chemistry will not give you any advantage in itself, however 'analytical' you might think it is, but equally the fact that Chemistry and Biology are subjects not directly related to Law has no impact on your chances of an offer. And btw, Psychology is a solid academic subject and no University would ever regard it as 'soft'.

What is important, for all top Law courses, is three high grades. So logic suggests you should drop your weakest subject and focus on the other three.
