Managing your health at university

Hi everyone!
While at university, the most important thing is to prioritise your physical and mental wellbeing. As I'm entering my third year of university, I've picked up some excellent tips and tricks for managing my health and I'd love to share this with you. 😊

Physical Health
Gym 🏋️- This is your central hub for physical health. Personally, I spent lots of time in my university gym. Whether you prefer cardio, weight lifting or a bit of both, it's the perfect way to stay fit solo, or with friends.
Walks 🚶- Simply walking to your favourite spots, rather than transport, can really boost your physical health. It's takes much less commitment than the gym, so its perfect if you have a busy schedule.
Sports ⚽- If you enjoy team based activities and making friends, sports may be the right choice. its great exercise and can be beneficial for your mental health too. Check out your universities sports clubs to see what's available.

Mental Health
Nature 🌳- I find dedicating time to being in nature is the perfect way to let go. It's proven to reduce stress and boost moods. Solo or with a group, just go walk or relax around your local park.
Hobbies 💡- It's important to not abandon your hobbies while at university, and be open to new hobbies too! Once again, this allows you to destress and relax. Counselling 📖- This is an excellent option that your university may provide. Even if you think it won't help, give it a go! Talking to someone can allow you to really understand your emotions.

Gym - Our on campus gym has just had an upgrade! Personally, I used this gym loads throughout the years and thought it was an excellent space to destress. In fact, our university is 3rd in the UK for mental health support.
