Oxford college advice urgent

I've just applied and the main thing I learned about social life from open days and online is about the size of the college in terms of number of students as small ones like Merton have a very close college community and everyone knows each other and i got the impression this somewhat extends to some of the more medium sized colleges like Pembroke. I'm applying for ancient and modern history, but I can't pick a college.
I think I have narrowed it down to somerville, queens, keble, and st johns.
My main concerns come down to social life which I can't really find much information on. I assume that the sort of events held, and frequency of them, are different across colleges.
Can anyone help?
