Hey everyone, I sat my LNAT exam today woohoo!! Im so relieved to be done with prep and stress.
I’m still not confident in my application.. I am only predicted A*AB for Literature, biology, chemistry… My Personal statement is really strong and unique I feel like that could be the decider..
As for the LNAT, I am aiming for 30+ on the MCQ and a strong essay. I found the extracts really nice and I actually quite enjoyed reading some of them! I completely ran out of time on the essay section; I scrambled a conclusion together with 5 seconds on the clock, so unfortunately I didn’t have time for proofreading!! 😬 I chose option 2! Feel like I made some good points with a good intro.. but we’ll see what the unis think to it!!
I know I’m an idiot to applying to such aspirational Universities with my predicted grades but guys its okay theres always clearing😛😭
Im applying to KCL, Durham, Bristol, Nottingham for Law LLB and then Royal Holloway for Law with Politics with placement year!!
Why am I excited to continue my A Level journey, I feel optimistic for once, just need to work on passing chem🤭
Good luck with your applications everyone, I hope everything is going to plan 💗

hii, u have great stats,
do u mind sharing what was the main context of your personal statement, just the main idea and how it is unique

Thank u!
My personal statement was centred around environmental law as thats the specialisation i want to go into! I’m part of an environmental group where I campaign and plan campaigns with decision makers, also won this essay comp for WWF so i think my experiences are somewhat unique. Have you submitted your application yet id be happy to take a look ive helped several of my friends with theirs!! If so I’ll give u my email

I cant explicitly say what question I chose due to LNAT rules, but it was centred around maintaining justice in Uni selection! I wish I could be more help but I cant remember what I wrote! Get results in January, I remember doing intro P1, counter, P2, counter and conclusion. My counterarguments weren’t as strong as they could have been but i believe my points were okay haha

Please remember that TSR forbids any sharing of specific tasks, tests or questions from any aptitude tests - LNAT, UKCAT, TMUA etc etc.

And btw, its not in your interest to share this info anyway - think about it - that other person may get a higher LNAT score than you just because you gave this info away, and that could mean they get an offer instead of you....

Hey, well done to those who have completed the LNAT - stress over!

I have mine in about a month and was just wondering if anyone had any tips for me as I'm completely lost on where to start. I had a look at the official website but there are only 2 past papers available.

Is there any techniques that worked well or anything you guys wish you'd done differently?

Thanks so much

Use "42 LNAT Prep," because It says: £0.00 i.e. FREE download for the entire bundle of resources:

https://42lnatprep.com/products/42-lnat-prep-complete-bundle-1

Use the resources and you should get 30 and above for sure. 🙂

Girlie, I received an offer for Bristol as an international student, like 5 days ago. Bear in mind that I applied on the 15th of October. I felt like I bombed my LNAT, literally did not read the last 3 passages, and wrote an essay full of contradictions. I feel like if you are an international, the rules are very lenient.

I’m yet to do my lnat - have it booked for next month - but does this mean that I’m less likely to get an offer if slots are already being taken up by people who have already done their lnat and got offers?

It doesnt work like that. All Unis make many more offers than they have places - because they know that not all offers will become Firm choices, not everyone will get the grades required in August or will defer, withdraw, not start etc. You are obviously not going to get an offer until you have taken LNAT and they have received your score - this is why Unis make gradual offers right up to the May deadline, in order to get all of that information and assess all applications.

If you apply before the Jan deadline, you are guaranteed 'equal consideration' - no preferential offers for earlier applications, and everyone considered using the same criteria. Stop worrying.

Search for The Ultimate LNAT Collection or The Ultimate LNAT Guide on Amazon Books. Both have all the advice, tips and practice papers, essay titles etc. Your school may have copies you can borrow, or try your local public library, or Ebay for 2nd hand copies. It doesn't matter if its a previous year's edition - LNAT doesnt change so any edition will do.
