Applying to Exeter/Warwick Law with mid gcses

I really want to apply for Exeter and Warwick for Law but i'm worried my gcses aren't good enough as i got 8766(5-5)554. I meet the standard requirement for maths and english. My predicted grades for A levels are really strong and I have a strong personal statement but i'm just concerned my gcses will let me down. Should I still shoot my shot?

Its worth asking both Unis how they assess applications for Law - just email them and ask what 'weighting' they use for GCSEs compared to A levels. Usually its a very small % - as an example, for Law at Bristol its 20% GCSEs / 40% A levels / 40% LNAT - and therefore will not have a significant impact on your application if your A levels etc are good.

Hi Anonymous,

At Exeter the main focus is your A-Level grades so I wouldn't worry too much about it. You can always contact our admissions team to double check the exact criteria - https://www.exeter.ac.uk/contact/

Hope this helps 🙂

I emailed them both but Warwick just says the most important thing they look at is GCSEs and predicted grades
