I am reapplying this year to unis and I’m between electrical and electronic engineering, and mathematics. I loved a level maths like I would do maths past papers for fun ( sounds a bit neeky oops). And for physics a level I actually enjoyed the calculation questions even though they were challenging, the theory part of physics I hated it tho. Career wise I have no clue what I want right now, I just want to do a degree I enjoy. I also hated the practical parts of physics. However, I ve heard that an EEE degree is better for career wise and salaries are a bit higher. This could not be true as well so I’m not really sure. Also, I only got AAA and didn’t do further maths so I doubt I will be able to go to a very prestigious university, because I heard that the ranking matters more for maths than engineering. I really don’t know what to do so if someone can help me with this and if someone studies one of the two courses I would really appreciate it.

Your career depends on your own capabilities.

It is commly perceived that the degree would have bearings on one's prospect. It might be true only during the initial years AND provided you have good honours. Your degree cannot help you move up further. Also if you are not interested in the subject, it is quite impossible to achieve good results. So, follow your own heart to choose the subject.
