Should I apply to Durham accounting as one of my choices?

I was thinking of even applying for my aspirational choice as the entry requirement is ABB. My GCSEs were A*A*A*AAAAABBB. My AS levels are geography, biology ,maths and chemistry which are ABBD. I dropped chemistry and my predicted grades are AAA. Is it worth a chance even applying or am I just wasting one of my slots as I know Durham is quite competitive? And are predicted grades have a huge weighing?

Why not? You have decent chances as your predicted grades are on par required.

UCAS allows 5 choices. It's OK to have 1 to 2 aspirational choices with required grades a bit higher than predicted, 2 to 3 with required grades matching predicted, and 1 to 2 safe choices with predicted above required.

Not really. I was simply being polite.

Some applicants are unsure so I try to encourage them to take the leap.
