Ask me about Universities (KCL UCL LSE Oxford Cambridge etc)

I'm looking at applying for King's PPL - do you know anyone on this course and if so what was their experience like?

Also, I've heard in a few places that King's comms are quite bad and it's difficult to stay in the loop. What has your experience of this been like?

Finally, I am slightly reserved when it comes to applying to King's as I know it's really expensive with living costs. I am not keen on sharing a room tho just to afford London, so do u think it's really worth it if I could go to a more affordable city like Manchester? Or do u have any budgeting/finance tips?

Thank you

1. Unfortunately I'm not doing PPL but i have some Politics in my Degree so I will tell you this, very engaging and interesting if you are into it. Also, i know people studying law at king's and they told me positive reviews.
2. Hey, from my point of view everything is well organized. The portal ise veeery user-friendly and every update comes as an email as well. I'm not disappointmented.
3. Well it depends of your budget. How strict can you live?

Hey thanks for your reply! I am glad to hear your experience of politics has been good at King's. It's also reassuring what you've said about the comms - i guess those people may have had a bad experience, and it obvs wouldn't be a dealbreaker for picking the uni or not.

With budgets - honestly idk what real figures I'd be looking at, but admittedly I'd be willing to make some sacrifices to make it work - buying less drinks, luxury items etc. I just don't think I would be happy sharing a room haha. Unless there was a system where they match you with a roommate - do you know if there is something like this in place? I'd also hope to get a part time job/tutor a bit to keep myself afloat. Do you have any experience with this?
