What extra and super circulars for Durham/Edinbrugh

I want to do accounting my AS grades are ABBD and my predicted grade are AAA. What should I do to enhance my profile? I did volunteering at a nursing home, over summer I attended a uni summer camp in Asia which gave me an insight into uni life, I maths and literacy mentor at school, I’m also a peer mentor, I have done 2 online moocs, I’m geography prefect, I have piano grades 6 and 7 working towards 8, I was a type writer in the school newsletter club and attended the uk senior maths trust challenge. Durham require AAB while Edinburgh is A*A*A*-AAA

That sounds fab! To enhance your application further, you could lean into your subject interest. You’ve already completed two MOOCs which is amazing! If they’re not Accounting-specific, consider adding one focused on that. Platforms like Coursera have great options. You could also mention any reading you’ve done around the subject.
Your extracurriculars are outstanding. If you’re applying to Durham, make sure your personal statement reflects your academic curiosity, your growth, and your wider contributions. You’re on a great path, so keep going and let me know if you have any Durham-specific questions.

Thank you! Do you think predicted grades are more important than my current AS grades?

Hey! Ultimately, both are good indicators. For university applications, predicted grades usually matter more than AS grades, because they’re what universities see when making offers. However, your AS results still play a supporting role in showing evidence of your academic ability. Since you apply before sitting your final A-level exams, universities need a forecast of your likely performance. Predicted grades are meant to show what you could achieve by the end of Year 13, not just what you’ve already done. Think of predicted grades as the target that helps to get offers, and AS grades as the proof that you can realistically achieve them.
Hope this helps.
