Have you done any alevels/gcses internally whilst doing otheralevels/gcses privately?

I'm currently doing my GCSEs and want to do a specific subject privately bcz i can't do it in my school. I'm doing aqa exams internally and on AQAs website it mentions i can't be a private and internal candidate during the same exam series. I'm not sure if this meant I can't do a subject internally and then do the same subject privately or i have to do all my subjects either internally or privately.

So i wanted to know if anyone else has taken some subjects internally and others subjects privately during the same exam season. Or if it'd be possible to do so by taking a different exam board privately while doing aqa internally, or by doing an igcse in the subject i wanna do privately and doing aqa internally.

My son studied French at home as school wouldn't let him choose it, as they made his year group drop a GCSE for covid catch up. He sat the exam at school with no problems. Ask school if you can sit it there, you may have to pay, but apparently it is not that unusual. Particularly for languages.

Me and my parents are fine with paying for the exam but paying for an exam is a requirement for private exams. I'm fine with doing an exam privately but unfortunately another one of aqa's rules is that you can't register as a private and internal candidate in the same exam centre/school.

So what exam board was your son taking? And was he registered as a private candidate? Bcz if he wasn't and he paid to be an internal candidate then maybe I'd be able to do that at my school.

It was AQA and I think they just entered him as a regular student. They do it at his school with quite a few students who are bilingual and want to take languages not taught at school, such as Italian. It really was not a problem.
