Studying Law at Durham 2026

I’m currently looking to Study Law LLB at Durham, it’s my dream university. I’m predicted A*AA and I got 997777666 at GCSE. I’m getting around 25 on the LNAT score. I’ve done lots of law extra curriculars like 2 work experiences , second place in a mooting competition and a law summer school. Am I being too ambitious in applying to Durham, what’s my chance of getting in?

No-one can guarantee you an offer, so the only way to find out is to actually apply. However, you meet the entry requirements so assuming that your LNAT results are as you expect, you should be okay. Just make sure that you have some choices at AAA and at least one choice well below this as your potential Insurance choice.

Thank you! I was originally predicted an A* in my other subject, so my predicted grades could’ve been A*A*A. I messed up my y12 end of year exam so I asked my teacher to predict me an A as I lost my confidence just in case I don’t end up getting an A* I didn’t want the pressure. Do you reckon it will higher my chances by my predicted grades being A*A*A as I’m contemplating going to speak to my teacher to see if I can get predicted an A* again. I just don’t know whether it’s worth it in case I mess up in the actual exam and don’t get an A*!!!

There is no point in artificially raising your grades - I have seen too many students in tears on Results Day when it all unravels. Durham isn't as competitive as it likes to believe - stop worrying.
