What is the degree Maths with Finance like?

Hi @H47,

I started off on a maths with finance course in my first year. A Maths with finace course is a joint honours course between the school of mathematics and the school of business/economics. The exact content can vary depending on the university you are appling to, but in principle, you will spend 2/3-3/4 of your time on non-finance related maths (statistics, calculus, linear algerbra, etc.) and the rest on finance-related modules. These finance modules tend to be maths, economics or business focused depending on the area covered by the module. In some cases, it can set you up well for professional qualifications and may even mean that are exept from some due to what you have beeen taught. However, you may find that many of your modules are pre-selected for you by choosing the course.
