Contextual Offers

I am eligible for free school meals, but I attended state schools a private boarding school on a fully funded bursary. What unis will I still be eligible for contextual offers for (from eg kings, bath, Manchester, qmul)? I don’t think I am for ucl as they are more clear about criteria on their website.

If you are no longer claiming FSM, no you cannot use that as eligibility for a contextual offer.
And most Unis exclude those at private schools - because defacto they are no longer disadvantaged.

no they dont exclude private schools a full bursary student is still from a disadvantaged background. if you have an simd quintile one or equivalent most unis will offer on minimum, some will offer on min but you must be simd 1/2 and go to a disadvantaged school. you must read the small print on the uni websites. they are all different.

I have 30+ years of working in Undergraduate Admissions - I do actually know what I'm talking about.

I filled in a form by bursary assessment associates on ucas free school meals eligibility and it said that it was validated and ucas and isc will be updated. I called Bristol and bath today and they said that I could be considered? (bit vague responses tbh), would having that on my ucas make a difference/improve my chances? Thank you so much for responding in the first place
Different unis have different criteria for contextual offers.
Some give them if you're the first in your family go go to uni, others give them if you live in a POLAR4 Quintile area, and so on.
My daughter got contextual offers because of her postcode - as she was home educated the whole issue of free school meals didn't even come into it.

Didn't it depend on whether you charged her for lunch??? 😆
