Hi,
I'm in year 13 and i'm struggling to write my personal statement for a general biology course.
If anyone can give any tips in what Universities look for I would really appreciate the help )
Thanks guys

Hi, also Y13 and just early applied to bio, loads of YT videos online from people who got into Oxbridge/ other good unis on how to write a good statement bio/general. Also helped to read loads of online ones who got into good unis which gave me a better idea of how to write. I looked at ones tailored to Oxford but they're of really good quality and should help with any uni, here are the ones I found most useful:

Hi, it's great to hear you are thinking of studying biology!
I am currently studying zoology at the University of Southampton, which has loads of overlap with zoology so let me know if you have any questions about it!

When writing my personal statement I found doing extra reading about what I found most interesting in biology to be really helpful, as it allowed me to show my interests and also my learning outside of curriculum studies. It can be hard to find lots of work experience to talk about for biology, but any you do have make sure to mention the skills that it gave you and why you did it. The tips posted below are also very helpful so make sure to take a look at those! Remember to focus back onto your university courses you are applying for, and why you are prepared for these.

Hope this can help
