Ai and Personal statement checker

I’ve written a personal statement for dental therapy and i wrote it myself just to be safe i put it through a couple of AI checkers and they all say 100% AI but when i put it through a plagiarism checker like plagiarismdetector.net it’s 100% not plagiarised, with their detect AI feature also saying 0% AI. so now im scared that ucas will flag it and say that’s its 100% AI what do i do?

AI ‘detectors’ run on witchcraft and wishful thinking. None of them are reliable. At best they can detect whether something is similar to the sort of writing an AI might produce e.g. grammatically correct and quite businesslike, which is exactly how you will have written your UCAS statement. I suspect more than one of the free ones flag things for no reason other than to sell you a more advance (paid) version of their service. Personally, as long as you know it’s original writing of your own, I’d take it as a compliment that your writing is up to a good standard and submit it.

UCAS aren’t using AI checkers, they’re only using plagiarism checkers

Hi,

Don’t worry, UCAS doesn’t reject personal statements just because AI checkers flag them. These tools are often over-sensitive and can give false positives, especially if your writing is clear and well-structured. The key thing is that your personal statement is your own work, which it sounds like it is.
