Have a look at the interview tips in the following thread. They apply to all healthcare courses:

What are some Physiotherapy questions that a university will ask?
Hey there👋

My name is Siobhan and I’m a recent physiotherapy graduate from the University of Lancashire 🎓

I actually helped out with the interviews and did one my self for the course so can understand why you would be curious and would like to prepare as they can be daunting things! I unfortunately can’t tell you exactly what they will ask as it could create an unfair advantage for some, but I can let you know what kind of things they are looking for on your answers!

Passion/motivation:

Having a strong explanation for why you want to do the course and what motivates you to be in this field is the key thing!

You can learn clinical things on the course but you can’t yeah someone to be passionate in an area

Demonstrate this in your answers and you’ll for sure stand out

Understanding of the profession:

Have a good understanding of what the role of a physio includes

What kind of things do physios do in their field and why is it important?

Know different areas they can work in such as neuro, respiratory, MSK etc. You can even say which ones peaks your interest the most and why

Also link this into skills that you will need to be able to do this role

Skills:

Have examples of skills that you have picked up that relate and will be beneficial to the role of a physio

It doesn’t have to be directly related to physio, you just need to be able to transfer it over to. For example if you have done DofE then you might have developed teamwork skills which is essential for physios when working with other professionals.

Some ideal skills we look for are communication, teamwork, leadership, problem solving and empathy.

STAR method:

This is a technique that you can use when answering your questions so that you’re not rambling on when the nerves get to you.

Have some examples about the skills I mentioned before that you can tailor to different questions.

I hope this has helped at all and please let me know if you have any more questions!
