I got the conditional offer the 22nd of November and got assigned to Pembroke the 27th.

Oh, that’s good to hear ! I also noticed that in some of their other courses, like the MPhil in Development Studies, students are required to submit a mandatory research proposal. However, in our program that isn’t the case. Instead, we place greater emphasis on the Statement of Interest which is (5000 characters), which is effectively doubled in importance compared to theirs.

Did you submit your career goals separately from your statement of purpose (in the other information section of the application portal where you submit your CV)?

Did your statement of purpose avoid explicitly detailing your research proposal / career goals?

Sorry I am trying to write my statement of purpose and am not sure how to approach it currently haha!
