What wil Oxbridge think of my a levels?

I do bio, chem and English lit. Im in year 12 and I really loving English lit the most, I have always been naturally good at the humanities but really interested in the sciences too which is why my a levels are a mix. But as I say I think I’m definitely considering an English degree. I’ve looked and I think Oxbridge only want English lit, but I know other applicants will have more essay subjects. Will this make me look weaker in terms of my ability in essay subjects? Can I still be competitive for an English degree at Oxbridge with my a level combination?

Yes, you can apply. The only required subject is English and you have that.

If you want a course that’s more of a combination of your subjects maybe look at Oxford’s Human Sciences course

Hi! I’m in a similar boat - I take English Lit, Maths and Physics and have applied to Oxford for English. On the subject department page, there’s a bit about other A-Levels suggesting that they don’t mind what they are. Link here: https://www.english.ox.ac.uk/how-to-apply-undergraduate#collapse385546 I’m of course not an expert on the topic and do not know yet if I’m going to get an interview, but I hope this helps!)
