Student finance issue

Hi,

Although, I already have a degree with the Open University I registered for an Integrated Master of Environmental Science course in June of this year. I thought this would be OK with it being on a list of acceptable second degree courses for student finance.

However, my problem is that each time I apply I wait a good few weeks then my application totally disappears from the website and I receive an email telling me to reapply. This happened last week for the third time. It seems to be around the time my evidence is reviewed. I've applied twice online but the last time I sent in a paper application. I first applied in June. I don't hear anything from them in relation to being refused but just assume that it has been for some reason.

I am just wondering if anyone can enlighten me about the situation.

Just to add that I am deaf and so find it difficult to phone them to discuss the matter.

Thank you.

HI there,

Can you confirm what university you will be attending and the duration of the course? Have we sent any correspondence as to why we have not processed your applications? When did you post the paper application to us?

Thanks, Drew

Hi there,

Can you confirm what university you will attend for the new course and how many years is the course? Is this a full time or part time course? Have we gave any reasons as to why the applications have not be processed and when did you post the paper application?

Thanks, Drew

Hi. It's a 8 years part time course with the Open University. I sent the paper application in at the beginning of August with my birth certificate attached. I received one email asking me to upload a signed letter detailing my last degree details which I did on the 10th September. Nothing since expect an email saying to reapply again after my application disappeared. Thank you.

Hi Alditha,

As long as you sent the PTML form, it should reappear when they process the new evidence confirming your previous study.

Our current processing timescales are approximately 17 working days from the date the evidence was received, with subject to change depending on our current volumes. If you monitor your account and email around that timeframe, you should be updated directly.
