Mechanics (??) physics question

Hiii. Please can someone explain this? I’m very very confused lol. I know that the answer is A, but there’s no explanation on the solutions and I don’t understand how.

Can’t see the attachment for physics. But for the chemistry question, since the system is in equilibrium, when you remove the chloride ions (the reactants), the system wants to make more of what’s it’s just lost, so the equilibrium shifts to the left to make more chloride ions and more pale blue solution making the answer B. Hope that makes sense :smile:
