Accommodation at Sheffield international college

Hey guys,
So I will be starting my foundation year at the Sheffield International College this coming November, and I'm a bit stuck. I know standard accommodation is an en-suite at St-Vincents, but I was also looking at studios outside of the College's accommodation, such as Amber, Student Roost, IQ Student Accommodation or any other student accommodations. I was also looking at apartments in the city, like Soho Yard or something else, not too sure. I like the independence a studio gives me, plus I've found cheaper options that look fairly good, but at the same time, I would want to believe the college accommodation will allow me to meet more people who are experiencing the same thing as I am. My goal is nothing over 200 ppw and looks livable and nothing more than a 20-minute walk from the college. All opinions and suggestions are welcome.
