sutton trust pathway to medicine / HE+ programme @ cambridge

hiii,

anyone here applying for the sutton trust pathway to medicine? or is there anyone who did take the pathway? if so, what are your opinions and was it worth it? same goes for the HE+ programme at cambridge. my college offers to do the HE+ programme but im more interested in the medicine pathway if im being honest. also, besides those, are there any other supercurriculars people would recommend in STEM?

How many of the priority criteria do you meet? I’m applying to the vet one and I’m a little worried as I only hit one of them

sorry!! i just saw your reply today. gosh, i don't know. i think i chose 2-3 of the priority criteria? other things might also count, like your postcode/area deprivation level? you can use a website to check that :smile:

I did the HE+ programme this year and I haven’t applied for medicine but someone else from my school was applying. The programme is very oxbridge and specifically Cambridge focused but I found it really helpful for making a competitive application. Through the programme I was able to attend online webinars and seminars which were great for supercurriculars and they had a wide range of topics. There were also in person events and trips to Cambridge (although that’s dependant on your area). Overall it was really good for informing me on the whole application process and helped with stuff to write in my personal statement. I would definitely apply since it’s usually whoever runs the programme in your school, so you’re only competing against your peers in your year rather than the whole country.
