Marking services?

Hi all,

I'm curious. For Paper 2 on A-level Sociology I'm studying a separate topic than my class (Global Development). And I'm wondering, are there any services online where actual or previous examiners can mark questions? Perhaps even teachers since my teacher has never taught this topic. I find the AI marking software's are pretty poor and I don't have a lot of faith in them!

Thanks!

The most obvious question here is why are you doing this. Secondly, just because your teacher isnt actively teaching this topic doesnt mean they can't mark your work - they do actually know far more about Sociology etc than just your A level syllabus.

I'm doing this as I asked my teacher if I could, and they allowed me to. And yes, I have given answers to them for marking, I was just curious as to whether such a service existed.

Hey @Jaa_,

As mentioned above, your teacher should be able to mark your papers regardless of the topic. If your teacher has expressly allowed you to study a different topic to the rest of the class, it shouldn't be an issue to ask for their help here and there.

If you'd prefer a separate marking service entirely, an A-Level Sociology tutor might be a good idea. You could book in one or two tutoring sessions with the specific request for them to mark/talk you through any prepared answers you might have.

Hope this helps and best of luck with A-Level Sociology,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

Hiya,

Yes I don't suspect it will be an issue as both my teachers are willing and able to take a look at any answers I do. I could look into the tutor route, thanks for that suggestion, especially if the tutor I used to use for econ also covers sociology since I might look into resuming my sessions with them.

Thank you!
