Countryside uni degree

Hi I’m in year 13 at sixth form ,
I love the countryside, anything from horse riding caring for animals, commercial farming, just being in nature. I love countryside houses, the small village lifestyle etc. Coming from a very densely populated very urban city and I hate it. Now here’s what I want to find out, I want to find a degree at an agricultural countryside university esque that can make me a lot of money as I want to be able to live that countryside lifestyle, support my family, travel. What degree should I do that will actually get me over that 6 figure point and which uni (I like Hartpury and I just want to go to a countryside uni)
Before you say vet med I don’t have the right a level subjects!
Thankssss
Bye

Thanks for getting in touch! If you're aiming for a countryside-based career with strong earning potential but don’t have the A levels for Veterinary Medicine, you could look into degrees like Agriculture, Rural Land Management, Animal Science, Environmental Management, or Business with Agriculture. These can lead to roles in agribusiness, farm management, land consultancy, or environmental planning, which can progress to high salaries over time.
Universities with a rural setting include places like Harper Adams, Hartpury, Royal Agricultural University, and similar providers. It’s worth checking each course’s entry requirements, as many accept a range of A levels or BTECs.

Hi! There are many routes you could go down here at Harper Adams University. I'd echo what AllthingsCCCU has said, but also add in Food Business Management or Food Science and Innovation - because that is a sector crying out for new talent, with great opportunities. Engineering and other rural tech routes are also blooming. Check out the Discover Uni site to see graduate outcomes - though it only shows salaries up to 5 years after graduation. Good luck!
