Does worker rights not matter anymore

Does worker rights within the workplace not matter no more?

What is happened to you or around you that you think in that way? As far as I am aware rights for workers exist.

So I received abuse verbally from a customer like a venting to my face I tried to keep my composure but I wanted to defend myself because it’s not something I would tolerate, I am a person that believes in self respect and that it’s vice versa not just one sided. And employers are doing fewer things about it more to the point that overall safety is becoming a concern.

have you got a HR department, could you raise with them (if you haven't already)?

The company HR department is useless.

What has your supervisor/manager said about it?

Nothing I just learnt to take in the vent and tantrum and just keep my mouth shut and get on with my work unfortunately they don’t care about us.
