GCSEs resits and applying to oxford for computer science

i am going to resit 8 of my GCSEs. I want a harsh opinion what if i gain all 9s in my re sit GCSEs and do amazing in the mat and the interview way better than my peers who have have a mat score lower than me does this give me a chance to go to oxford. I heard that they look at you holistically as a person. Will they take into account my GCSEs before even letting me sit the entrance exams.How does it work? I got no 9s in my GCSEs even though i was predicted all 9s is this ok how does this all work

Depending on how bad your GCSEs were I would recommend not resitting. Oxford does care about GCSEs but having strong enough a-levels and a strong MAT will put you in a good position to get an interview, and from there that's all that matters. Are you planning to resit GCSEs while in year 12 as well? Because it would be much better to focus on a-levels and MAT scores instead of stretching yourself too much

are you retaking your gcses this november? how is your revision going?

i am not doing them in the summer because i will have year 12 mocks during then which will to my uni.i am redoing 6 subjects in the November series
