how early can i firm a choice on ucas?

i know it's early but i'm a gap year student with an unconditional offer from the uni i am 100% heart set on.
i reapplied solely because i wanted to try again for this uni (i already had an offer for a different course last year, changed my mind too late and the course i wanted to transfer to was full hence reapplying).
can i withdraw from the last uni i'm waiting to hear back from and firm manchester now or is there any benefit to waiting?

Yes, you can do this now, but remember that once you have done it you cannot change your mind.

If you already hold the offer you want to accept, you can wait for all your choices to respond, or withdraw the remaining one and make your firm choice now. There’s no disadvantage in confirming early if you’re sure. Just make the change through UCAS. If you’re unsure, you may want to wait until all decisions are in.

Hiya!

It’s great to hear that you’ve received an unconditional offer from a university you’re really passionate about.

As others have mentioned, if you’re absolutely certain that Manchester is where you want to go, then yes, you can firm your choice now. However, it’s always a good idea to make sure you’ve considered all your options before making anything official, especially since once you firm an unconditional offer, your place is secured and you’ll be committed to that choice.

The UCAS website has a really useful section that explains how to accept or decline your offers, I’d recommend giving it a quick read before finalising your decision.

Best of luck!
