Just Wondering As It Is Frustrating and I Am Curious
if i was to study and obtain a QTS with PGCE in English, could i still teach Media Studies? Only asking as I'm finding it hard to find Universities that offer a PGCE (Secondary) Media Studies and I have a Degree in Media Studies so was just curious

Of course. Most teacher contracts employ you as a teacher rather than a "Teacher of". As a result, you can ultimately be deployed to teach anything. Given that media studies is an essay based subject and English starting point is the obvious choice. However, bear in mind that will probably have to cut your teeth as an English teacher before finding the few and far between opportunities to teach media studies... or persuade the school you work at to put on media studies.
