Hi there. Do you know what type of qualification you would receive from the apprenticeship? E.g. A HNC, Certificate of Higher education etc. Thanks, Leah.

It says HNC. It's the course most dental nurses do to get into dental hygiene degree course. It's lower than the level 6 degree course

From the guidance:
"This support isn’t available if you hold an equivalent or higher-level qualification to the one you intend to study. If you hold a lower-level qualification or have previously studied in higher education but not achieved a qualification, support may be available"
And that full support is available
" Full support is available if you already have a first degree but you’re studying:

an Initial Teacher Training (ITT) course, not exceeding 2 years and you don’t hold qualified teacher status

a Nursing, Midwifery or Allied Health Professional course (excluding dental hygiene and dental therapy) in England that started on or after 1 August 2017

a dental hygiene or dental therapy course that started on or after 1 August 2018"

Am I not understanding this correctly?

Hi there,

What is the full name of the course, what university would you attend and what is the duration of the course?

Thanks, Drew

It was a 9 to 12 month course but mainly dependent on the student's pace

Hi Carrieanne,

The course you mentioned at Teesside University is classed as an exception course and we would not take your previous study into consideration when assessing your eligibility.

Thanks, Drew

Thank you, I have now received an email saying there has been an error and I am entitled to full funding. Waiting for this to reflect on my account. But thank you for your response.
