Hey did you have your interview, and if so, how did it go? I'm happy to see how well you've done.

I would say that there isn't that much you can do to prepare for it. They're only testing how you approach problems in real time. They already know you can excel, as seen in the aptitude test, so don't worry that much. All you have to do is show that you can solve a problem you have not seen before, just in another way.

How did everyone find the interview? The maths part was pretty easy tbh.

But, it might be easy for everyone so they may use the pastoral part more or even rank highest scores in the aptitute test

But, it may have been easy for everyone so they probably will take the pastoral part more seriously or even rank the highest scorers in the aptitude test, i also read that they interview people who got interiews from KCLMS and ICLMS but got rejected or something.

Hey. Sorry for the late reply. I'm a current Year 12 at Surrey Maths School, and I'm being 100% honest, it is a brilliant school. The pacing is quick, but the teachers help you every step of the way. The school is incredibly lenient in food and uniform (I wore sweatpants the whole of last week).
Everyone is really kind and uplifting, and I promise that you will make friends here. Everyone is here for the same reason and they like very similar things, so it's a very close-knit community.
It does start at 9:25 (1 hour later than most schools), so that's a plus if you live close; you can get more sleep. Or if you live further away, you don't have to wake up at 5.
Take it from me, it will be the best way forward if you like maths, sciences, and whatnot. Anything else?

hi i had an interview from surrey and i was wondering , what are your current grades like at surrey , like im used to a low grades from my class mates

Thats incredible to hear. Well done. Now you gotta sit back, attend like 1 more interview (which is js learning how life is here), and do well in your GCSEs. And you'll be the first year to fully integrate to our new building, so well done. Anyone else?

Yes. It's just something about how school life is and what you want to find out. You don't need to prepare or worry over it, you're already in

Give it time. I think they have personalised emails, so they might have not gotten to you yet.

Hello, I am a current Year 13 at the school. There will be a pastoral and maths interview, the pastoral one is basically your ambitions, getting to know you and the maths one would just be them teaching you a concept and seeing how quickly you are able to apply it (at least that's how it was for me). I would say as long as you are passionate about coming here and are keen to do maths, it will show regardless of whether you have prepared or not. Good luck.

Hi, how about the Y13 uni offers so far? And are most pupils from state schools or good mixed with from private and state schools. We got offer today...

Tiffin is way better cause it the best for everything subject nearly and a lot people will go there because they teach better and they get better grades and they have more options.

Being a student at sums, depends on what u think is best. This school is fast paced and very committed to maths, allowing you to excel. We don't even have our first results yet, so you're gonna have to take a gamble on that tho.
