can u lie on ur personal statement

ive lied about some experience on my personal statement, im tryna apply for a healthcare course at bcu, which will also require a interview. at the interview will they ask about my experiences on my personal statement and can i just lie?

i wouldn't recommend lying cause what if they ask where/who you did your experience with and stuff? 😭 im not sure.. it is quite risky
It's generally frowned upon.

Also for healthcare courses lying would represent a massive fitness to practice issue and you would likely be booted off the course and potentially barred from the profession in future.

Whether they catch you out in some way is one thing, but no one is really going to recommend it.
The problem with lying about these things is that it is rarely the experience itself which is the important bit, (and if it was they’d verify it).

Instead it’s reflecting critically on any experience. Which is where the blagging becomes readily apparent.
