Urgent help with ucas
Hey guys,
So long story short, my referee submitted my UCAS application 24 minutes after the deadline yesterday at 6:24pm. I submitted it on my end before 6pm, it was entirely his fault.
I called UCAS and they confirmed that it has been marked as late. What can I do? I’m already planning on calling my unis.
BTW, I’m applying for medicine at Liverpool, Manchester, Keele, and Sunderland.

Hi,
I’m not sure if this is much help but definitely call the universities as soon as you can, as the earlier the better.
Just explain everything as honest as possible, because you already did your bit so I am sure that would help them understand.

Ok i’ve typed this 3 times now. Abridged version.
School forgot to submit mine last year by deadline despite it being with them 5 days in advance.
I realised 36 hours after deadline. Checked with school who admitted head of 6th form had forgotten!! Had 2 to submit and only did the one 😬.
Lots of emails and phone calls from school to each admissions team to explain no fault of mine.
Eventually sorted although had to select a different course on UCAS at one uni as medicine had closed to applications on UCAS at two of the med schools by the time school contacted (I still applied to med but UCAS showed something random like ancient history). I ended up at this med school btw!!
Two of my offers came from 2 unis you have selected for reassurances.
It was a nightmare at the time ngl but your situation seems less late than mine. Good luck!
