Chances of a offer if applying for Bristol's Politics and International Relations

Hiya, i was hoping if someone could please provide me information of my chances of receiving a offer from Bristol University for their Politics and International Relations course. My predicted grades is A*BC in History, Biology and Chemistry. I have a pending EPQ, my GCSE's were 8877665553. My contextual factors are that I am diagnosed to be on the autism spectrum, first generation t go to university and receive Free School Meals. I am aware the contextual offer for Bristol course is ABB. While I don't directly match the entry requirements i was wondering if anyone could tell me my chances of receiving an offer anyway. Any help appreciated, many thanks.

Hiya, I just got my contextual offer from Bristol for PIR and I’m predicted A*A*A in English lit, pol and fine art. If you look at their admissions information you can see that the majority of their decision making is down to predicted grades, even more-so due to the fact that for PIR they’re the only thing you can really go off of as there is no admission test. I wouldn’t tell you not to apply as if it’s your no 1 choice then it’s always worth a try, but I would really try to get the C grade raised to a B before you send off ur application so that you have a far better likelihood of getting an offer. Good luck!

Hey!! I applied for politics and ir with A*A*A and got an offer but I can say that politics and ir is really competitive so I’d suggest either getting the predicted grades up or applying for something else at Bristol (some courses only require contextual BBC). This is because Bristol doesn’t look at the personal statement only grades and contextual factors is what they have to go off of, therefore, it’d be ideal that you got at least the required contextual grades considering some people have high predicteds above standard + contextual factors too. Alternatively, LSE offers social anthropology which is relatively similar to politics and ir with contextual requirements at ABC!

Personally I assume it’s because I’m a contextual applicant so I’m predicted 4 grades above what I needed and they took me immediately. I was placed on hold a week after sending in my application but I think because many contextual early applicants are likely to get an offer regardless of what the later applications look like they give the offers out a lot earlier.
