Uni of Edinburgh - Politics

What chance do you reckon I have of getting into politics at either Edinburgh or Glasgow as I hadn't really considered it until recently all my subjects that I took are based on me wanting an Engineering Degree. I am worried that because of this I will get rejected instantly. I was also looking at doing politics with a language but that doesn't really matter if I cant get in the door. I will list my grades below any advice would be really helpful.

Scottish Higher:

Spanish: A
English: A
Physics: B
Chemistry: B
Maths: C
Music: Predicted A

Scottish Advanced Higher:

Physics: Predicted A
Maths: Predicted B

For Edinburgh the entry requirements are AAAA and for Glasgow it is AAAAB

With the entry requirements being AAAA and AAAAB, you would have needed to take more Highers this year so that you could achieve more A's. If you get an A in music like you are predicted, then you will have 3A's at Higher in total, when the minimum you need is 4.

If you're still determined to go to these universities, you could see if there are any local colleges that would let you do another Higher after S6. You'd need to check the entry requirements for the courses you're interested in though to check if this would be accepted (typically offers are by the end of S5 or S6). You should probably email both Glasgow and Edinburgh as it is unlikely to be on their website.
