Medicine Interviews 2026

Hi,
I'm applying for medicine for 2026 entry and am trying to start preparing for interviews but have not clue where to start. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to practice questions?
Also I know we need to have a good knowledge of events in the news relating to healthcare and the NHS but I'm really struggling to find information or just know what I should be looking for. Does anyone have websites or could tell me how they did it?
Also if anyone knows when roughly interview invites go out it would be a huge help!

Recruit friends and family to do mock interviews. Get a book on medical interviews if you can to have an idea on the sort of questions you'll be asked and for general tips. In order to have an idea of what the NHS is like, read medical books (This is Going to Hurt, Do No Harm, Admissions, etc etc) and maybe join the Medic Mentor medicine society. They recap a lot of useful things like medical ethics, the NHS pillars and all that stuff.

For medical news, check the health section of BBC news and The Lancet.

Good luck
