Nottingham has a friendly atmosphere and is a great place to live, study and explore. From reliable transport to student-friendly venues, the city is designed to support a positive university experience.

🔒Safety on campus and in halls The university offers 24/7 campus security and secure accommodation, so you can focus on your studies without worry. Students are encouraged to download the ‘SafeZone’ app, which connects you directly to campus security and emergency support. Simple safety tips include:

🚍 Getting around safely Nottingham is easy to navigate, with excellent tram and bus links across the city. There’s even a free hopper bus between campuses, making it simple to travel safely and independently.
