APPLYING to psychology WITH A*A*B and A* predicted in epq.

what unis would likely give an offer based on these grades, is it risky to apply to unis like bath with a B predicted.

If you are taking EPQ, then the potential offer would be AAA/A*AB with an A grade in EPQ - ie. you meet the entry requirements. Psych at Bath is competitive so there is no guarantee of an offer whatever grades you have but its certainly worth applying.

Hi @keiraawww ,
Well done on those predicted grades; they are very impessive. The key to understanding grades is often to look at them overall. Your 2 A*s may pull the B up making you on par with someone acheiving AAA or A*AA. You may also find that many universities value the skills from an EPQ and often give an offer that is reduced by one level for those acheiving a good grade in it (normally at least an A). With that in mind, I would say you have a decent chance at some of the top universities, grade wise. The only thing I would recommend checking is any required subjects. You would also need a great personal statement to go alongside these excellent grades.

Best of luck with your application

Top Universities, especially for competitive courses, will want consistency across three subjects, and therefore the grades they have specified - not points equivalent,

You get 5 choices so one or two risky options are sometimes worth a punt as long as you meet your other options comfortably. Bath does have a relatively lower offer rate according to UCAS compared to other unis that require similar grades, as it is extremely popular for psychology…so as long as you are prepared to be rejected.
