Applying to Two Different Engineering Courses at Imperial

Hi! I’m planning to apply to Imperial for Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering, and I was wondering if anyone knows how Imperial handles applications to two different departments. Since they’re separate departments, would applying to both decrease my chances overall, would it increase it, or would it not matter? Also, does anyone know how it works with interviews like, could you potentially get interviews for both courses, or would one application affect the other? I couldn’t really find anyone else who’s applied to two Imperial courses (especially two engineering), so I’d really appreciate any insight or personal experiences. Thanks so much in advance!

Applying to imperial for 2 engineering course? sounds like most people in my maths class.....

I don't think one would affect the other. Probably won't be much different as if you applied to 2 different universities. If you get lucky you might get interviews from both, if not then you might get one or none, no different than to if you applied elsewhere.
