1st I drove a near perfect test, but made a huge fault at the end by missing a red light mid roundabout, and then picked up a second for coming off in the wrong lane as I was stressed. It turned out a weird omission in both my theory. experience and lessons was that roundabouts could have lights on them. But in hindsight it was agreed this was the best test i actually drove overall.

2nd test just went bad from the go, I was stressed, I had a stand in/locum examiner who didn't know the area and due to me taking a wrong turn at a roundabout and then being being directed into a side street to turn by the examiner (I learned before satnav was part of tests), it turned it to be a horrible little enclosed, angled & crowded private square which was a bit out of my skill range to reverse back out of and the only way out was to mount the pavement pretty significantly several times so do a turn back out, bumped the kerb a fair few times too obv and that's a fail, the guy did say sorry and admitted it was kind of on him for directing me into a near impossible test situation, but I deffo did lose composure.

My 3rd test I just wasn't in the mood, hadn't taken any lessons for weeks beforehand and just wanted to get it failed and done with, it turns out not caring about it really helped and it just took so much of the stress away. I made no serious errors, but I came v close on a repeated minor which was cutting my right turns a little sharp, the examiner said afterwards it was basically borderline each time whether it was worth a fault and he cut me a break at the 2 of 3 allowed faults partly as he was sure it was the sort of thing that as soon as it was pointed out to me I wouldn't do it anymore 😅
On my 1st test- i drove so well, but one mistake (getting in the wrong lane at a roundabout) ruined everything.
On my 2nd test- i went to **** after failing the first one. I made a lot of mistakes (including messing up the reverse park back at the test centre). I deserved to fail.
On my 3rd test- i drove so well again, but went slightly over the white line on a tight bend down some country lanes.
On my 4th test- I passed.

I had also had 2 tests cancelled by the test centre in there before i even got to the test centre. One test (the test before the first fail) got cancelled the day before due to the examiner being off ill.
And another got cancelled beforehand due to the snow (my instructor checked with the text centre on the morning of the test just as i was about to have my driving lesson beforehand). The annoying bit with that was that the snow had just about gone. It was only slush at the side of the road. And a girl i went to college with had her test booked the same day at a different test centre (we lived in different areas). Her test wasnt cancelled and went ahead. And she passed.

I just failed my first one, was halfway through traffic lights when they were green and then they turned amber and the examiner slammed the brakes on. Hopefully will pass the second time round because besides that, I only had 2 minors. Have your instructor in the car with you, I did and he’s currently making a complaint about the examiner for being dangerous. Whatever you do have them with you

Back when i passed, you could have your instructor in with you, but not many people seemed to actually do it. It seems more common now. Like you say its a good thing.
If anything happens (e.g. examiner being in the wrong, generally harsh or whatever) at least there are 2 of you who witnessed what happened. Rather than just your word against theirs if you don't have your instructor in with you.
And your instructor is also qualified to say that XYZ incident was harsh/the examiners fault/not your fault/whatever.

If you were half way through the lights when they turned amber, then the examiner shouldn't have slammed the breaks on or failed you for it. They were green when you started to through the lights.
Hope you pass next time.

sadly got put in the position where I would’ve been failed if I had gone and failed if I hadn’t!

I just did a test in isle worth and I failed I had 5 minor mistakes and u need to get below 15 to pass and he said I would've passed if I didnt do one mistake and I got one serious mistake I got to close on the side of a car and the examiner had to take my wheel and move it. hopefully pass on the 2nd time.

4th time due to bad luck in 1st and 3rd time. 2nd and 3rd time was sabotaged by the instructor who was a dodgy a hole who fiddled with the car to the extent my clutch peddle and handbrake came off on 1 instance and another he glued something to the floor which prevented me from resting feet properly (gotta love having shorts legs and size 11.5 shoes)
