Possible to completely change type of uni course through Clearing?? PLS ANSWER

Hey so im planning on submitting for an academic course through UCAS in Nov which focuses on art history+ visual culture. I was already burnt out from doing my A-level in Fashion when I was researching into unis last year which put me off from applying to any art based degrees and I wanted to look for more academic approaches to my chosen pathway (museum/costume for theatre area)
But now im regretting not choosing an art- based Undergraduate( costume design) as I think the course would target my career path more and have better networks to my career than the academic one and I’d actually think I’d enjoy the course because it links a lot of things I’m interested in such as history, theatre and museums. It would also be in central London which is where I originally wanted to go to uni.

So I was wondering if It’s possible to completely change the type of degree through clearing? My PS covers many areas of theatre and art so if I tailor it to fit costume and have a portfolio could I be accepted if the uni has space through clearing?

Thank you so much sorry for the confusion !😅
Yes, you can use clearing to apply for a completely different subject.
