ucl biomedical engineering

Helloo

I need to choose a firm choice (assuming I get all my offers). I have applied to ucl, warwick, sheffield, southampton and cardiff and the last 2 have already given me a conditional offer.

I would like to ask anyone who is currently doing/have done this course at UCL:
What facilities do you get to use? When I went to the open day they only showed us one room, compared to other universities which seem to have a lot of others.
Are there any wet labs? Do you get to do practicals in tissue engineering and the bio side of the course?
Does a lot of the course rely on physics? Is it mostly applied?
How much of the course is theory vs practical work?
What sort of projects do you get to do and do you get to work with people from other types of engineering?
How is the quality of teaching?

Thank you so much for your time!

My general feeling is that the Warwick course doesn’t feel confusing. You usually have a sense of where things are going, rather than feeling lost in abstract content.

It feels more engineering focused overall, not purely theoretical. There are concepts and theory, but it doesn’t feel pointless.

The pace feels quite normal, and you’re not constantly questioning what you’re studying. It suits people who like applied engineering without everything being extremely abstract.
