Visitor parking at The Vale?
Coming to visit my son later this week and need to park up near his flat for a short period to drop off a few things. Is this possible or will my number plate be picked up on entry and a fine issued?

Shouldn’t be a problem at all there is plenty of parking around the Vale but not actually on the Vale but literally a 5 minute walk away. We often went to see my daughter when she was living in Mason and never had a problem parking, you can even park in the multistorey on campus. I can’t remember the charges but I remember they were very reasonable. We used to drop everything off immediately outside her accommodation and then I would go park the car.

Just checked we sometimes parked in the north east multistorey car park which is on Pritchatts Road, B15 2SA is the postcode, the charges are Monday to Sunday 8 till 6 after 6 pm it’s free. If you park at the weekend I think they have a flat day rate which used to be about £2.50 for the whole day but I don’t know what it would be now as this was 3 years ago.
If I remember rightly, they also cap the daily Mon-Fri charge but I can’t remember what it was but it was very reasonable and we never had a problem finding a space, there are also a few other smaller car parks close to the accommodation. There’s 1 just down from tennis court accommodation, same side of the road but I can’t remember the name of it. We sometimes parked there as it was so close to Mason and paid via Ring go
