Hey! I applied to Oxford, Edinburgh, Southampton, Exeter and Manchester, and on Friday I received a conditional offer from Manchester! However, I've heard manchester do come back quickly, and the ones you have applied for probably won't as they are all very prestigious , so please don't stress because the amount of time it takes to get your offer doesn't make it any less likely to occur! What course did you apply for?

Every Uni, and every course, has a different application/admissions process and timetable. When you get an offer has no significance at all. And remember - you could be waiting until next May to get all your decisions, so try to stop overthinking this as the endless phone-checking will drive you nuts.

Ah we've both applied to the exact same five unis for law! Tbh though it is probably one of the most popular combinations given how they're (broadly considered to be) the top 5 unis in the UK. I've kind of just accepted that I won't be getting any decisions until next year, with Cambridge probably being the earliest lol. Which Cambridge college did you apply to? I did an open application.

i thought i was cool applying to these unis and we’ve got the same exact options

i didnt even know you could do an open application but i applied to downing college, not even for a particular reason, i was just scared of applying to trinity & st john’s

i’m just worried about this whole process bc my gcses are rubbish and i think i did equally as rubbish in the lnat :frown:

i guess we’ll see when we see

Downing seems like a lovely college, but keep in mind that it's pretty consistently the most competitive one for law, so you might well end up being pooled.
But yeah I have no idea how I've done in the LNAT and I cannot bear this wait - iswtg there is no justification for them gatekeeping the results until February.

Have you received your college yet from Cambridge?

again i thought i was cool for applying to downing thinking it wouldn’t have as much competition compared to the others

sigh :frown:

& yh why they wouldn’t just email us our results after sitting the exam like?? but hopefully we both did well in the lnat

lmk if you get any updates uni offers

LNAT results are only sent to university today (first batch to send)- so you won’t have heard from any of those requiring LNAT yet…

i thought they sent the results to the unis the day after you sit the exam & then we find out ourselves once the uni offers roll out :0

Yes that’s true, but only after the 21st October. Before that they batch all results to send.

I’ve applied to
Cambridge (trinity hall)
Bristol
Durham
Nottingham
Birmingham

I submitted on 11/10 and still nothing yet but I did do the LNAT and I have had to submit extenuating circumstances. But I get it’s disheartening to get no responses especially when you know so many people that are getting offers and notts and birmingham are giving offers. I feel like I’m going insane

at least it’s over with now all we have to do is wait for a response

& when you say submit info about the extenuating circumstances did you send them documents bc i wanted to do the same but my skl told me that it wasn’t necessary bc they mentioned it super briefly in my personal statement :frown:

anyway lmk if you receive any offers & i hope you get into the uni you want to go to

Initially, my school were going to include it in my reference, but due to the nature of what happened they just sent in extra documents to the admissions departments or added the forms onto admissions portals

yep, but not from any of your five im afraid.
applying for history and German, and offers are:
Birmingham: AAB
Liverpool: ABB
Manchester: None yet
Oxford: None yet
York: ABC
try not worry too much though! depends on your subject, how they sort the order and when they make decisions. at least three early entries in my school have York offers, but others still don’t.

That's great! I've heard back from Exeter and Southampton too, but not Manchester! I'm still hoping. I really liked Exeter's offer honestly. I've applied for English Literature at them all. Good luck, especially with Oxford!
