Drama school auditions 2025

Hi everyone! This is my first time applying for drama school and I haven’t typically been around people who have gone down this path so am kind of figuring it out on my own. I’m looking to do a BA in Acting at schools like LIPA, RADA, Central, LAMDA, etc.

Was wondering for people who went to any of these schools, what was your experience like? What was your audition process? How does going to a drama school rather than a uni affect your chances when you leave? And what did you do in preparation for applying?

Also if anyone’s got any advice on monologues that would be fab, I literally don’t know what to pick and am getting worried that the longer I wait the less chance I’ll have of getting in. 😨

If anyone has any more general advice about acting/ extra tips that would also be amazing ❤️❤️

My daughter is now at Leeds Conservatoire and loving it!
Third year applying, first year she received an offer she didn’t want, second year she got to final rounds and received a waitlist that didn’t materialise, third year four offers (two of which were initially waitlists.
I’d recommend joining the 2026 thread, it’s a difficult and long process through to final rounds and you’ll receive a lot of support on there.
Re monologues try to find a drama coach that can help you with monologue choices and give you a bit of coaching (you’ll only need a few sessions)
Wishing you the best of luck x
