SFE reassessment timeframe

Hi,
I’m hoping someone can clarify what’s going on with my reassessment.

I submitted my evidence for my 2024/25 PR2 form over three weeks ago (29/09) and when I called Student Finance England at the time, I was told the processing time was 17 working days. My account shows “approved,” but the payment schedule says £0 because it’s awaiting reassessment due to an overpayment.

Today I called again and was told that reassessments are now taking 23 working days, and that this also applies to my case even though I’ve already been waiting the 17 working days I was originally quoted, even up until yesterday evening.
My evidence has already been uploaded and accepted on the portal. Ive never seen this happen before

17 working days from the 29th of September is the 22nd of October, today. It is normal that you haven't received an update yet as it is still within the original timescale for processing. I can see that the timescales have slightly increase to 23 working days from the dates received due to the volumes in the queue which would indicate an approximate date of the 30th of October. Rest assured, if the evidence/PR2 has been successfully received, it will be in the queue awaiting review. Once this is reviewed/processed you will be updated directly via your online account. The assessors sometimes also email you directly to make you aware of the update so it would be best to monitor your online account and email within the current timescale provided.
