University decisions

Hi all, I just submitted my UCAS application today, and I'm wondering if anyone would know how quickly my chosen universities are likely to reply? I know it varies from person to person, but I've heard some unis tend to give offers more quickly than others. Also, any information on my courses would be much appreciated! I'll put a list of my courses below, along with the A level entry requirements. For reference, my predicted grades are A*AA. Thanks!

Journalism, Media and Communication and Law - University of Strathclyde (ABB - BBB)
Combined Honours (media and communication and law) - Newcastle University (AAB)
Journalism and Criminology - University of Essex (BBB - BBC)
Criminology and Media & Communication - Liverpool Hope University (BBB - BCC)
Journalism - Ulster University (BCC)

It could be anytime between now and next May.
Try not to keep checking your phone - it'll drive you nuts.

Hi,

Don’t worry, it’s completely normal not to have heard back yet. Since you just submitted your UCAS application, universities are only starting to process them. Some may take a few weeks to make decisions, and others may not respond until closer to the UCAS deadlines. Everyone is given equal consideration up until the January deadline. Your predicted grades put you in a strong position, so everything is still very much on track.

Hope this helps, and best of luck!

Hi @charlottedgalway 😀

So glad to hear you're considering studying at Strathclyde! Have you had a chance to visit us on campus yet? Do you have any questions while you wait to hear back at the moment?

I can't say for certain when you're likely to hear back from us, but admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. Normally we aim to have the majority of our offers out by the end of March so that our offer holders can attend more events on campus (but as McGinger has said we can take up until May). Often you will hear back sooner than March, however.

Let me know if you have any questions I can help with! And be sure to update this thread once you do start to hear back 🤗

Hi there!

Congratulations on submitting your UCAS application! It's great to hear that you have applied to Liverpool Hope!

We do not have a definite timeframe for when students will hear back from us but our Admissions team make offers on an ongoing basis so hopefully you will hear back soon!

Have you booked onto any of our Open Day's in the meantime?

If you have any questions about Liverpool Hope feel free to ask!!
