Classics Oxford CAT

I have my admissions test for Classics at Oxford on Friday, and I will be taking the Latin section only. I have a slight problem in the fact that I am still not doing very well in practice passages despite lots of revision. Will a bad CAT score automatically rule me out for the course? I know the interview rate is very high, but obviously some people still get rejected before this so I am just wondering whether this will make me automatically rejected. Thank you!

It really depends on your application as a whole, however oxford takes admissions tests very seriously. Oxford takes the view that the admissions tests are a better indicator of a students skill than their a levels, as admissions tests are seen as being 'fair and equal'.
A bad score will likely lead to rejection, unless you manage to get to the interview stage which could help. However, there is really absolutely no way to know how things will go and the worst thing to do during the application process is to worry about how likely you are to be rejected/accepted.
