They're not too bad, aren't you doing maths? I see that maths isn't mentioned in the requirements this year, last year they wanted a minimum grade A at A level, seems they've changed the requirements this year

They have no a level maths requirements other than a 7 at gcse, but I take standard level ib maths which is perfectly acceptable and also higher level physics

Not really. Your GCSEs are fine, maybe not the strongest, but still okay. Your IB 41 with good HL subjects should help a lot. I think Warwick will look more at your overall profile, so you still have a fair chance.

I’m doing maths physics sociology and chemistry at a level, predicted A*A*A*A respectively, got 999999888 at gcse. Applying to PPE at Warwick, what do you think are my chances? I got rejected from another uni today so just need someone to tell me how likely it is to be accepted.

What else did bro apply for, apparently they don't profile GCSEs so it's down to predicteds and ps mostly once you meet the minimum

Those are great stats and you were rejected for another Uni!! What was the reason given? I was offered PPE last year with A*A*A* (Maths/Economics/History) and 99998887776 so you stand a great chance, I didn't get an offer until end April though so it was a long wait! I was offered KCL/Bath/Warwick rejected by LSE and UCL

Thank you so much! It was LSE, they said my statement wasn’t convincing even though 2 teachers at my school said it was great, so I’m kinda surprised. Congrats on your offers, they’re amazing! Haven’t heard back from any other unis but really hoping to still get into Warwick since I really liked it on their open day.

That's the exact reason word for word that I was given! my teachers also said my PS was very strong. My gf with similar stats to yours was offered LSE but declined it which was good as she didn't get the required grades anyway ☹️ You stand a huge chance of an offer from Warwick , best of luck but keep in mind Warwick can be very slow with offers, I thought it was late April my offer came but just checked back and it was 3 May!!

Just to add I submitted my UCAS on 11th Oct and LSE made me wait until 21 April before rejecting me, I would rather they have told me earlier

Hi there,

Your GCSEs are really strong, so you’ve got nothing to worry about there. For PPE, Warwick only asks for at least a 4 in English Language and Maths, so you easily exceed that requirement. GCSEs will almost certainly not be looked at in your application beyond the minimum requirements. What really matters is your further education qualification, in your case, the IB. Warwick’s typical offer for PPE is 38 points, so with 41 you’re in a great position!
